ABSTRACT

Objective: To analyze the burden of disease attributable to high temperature exposure in China and globally from 1990 to 2019, and to study the current burden of disease in relevant populations. Methods: In October 2021, based on data from the global burden of disease 2019 (GBD 2019) study, population attributable fraction (PAF), number of deaths, mortality, disability-adjusted life year (DALY) and DALY rate of Chinese and global populations with different ages and genders in 1990 and 2019 were extracted and analyzed. The rate of change was calculated, the mortality rate was normalized by the age structure of the world standard population, and the causes of disease burden caused by high temperature exposure of Chinese residents were analyzed. Results: In 2019, compared with 1990, the PAF of Chinese and global population decreased by 43.98% and 12.41% respectively, the number of deaths increased by 29.55% and 49.40% respectively, the crude mortality rate increased by 7.81% and 3.30% respectively, the DALY decreased by 48.12% and 14.41% respectively, and the DALY rate decreased by 56.82% and 40.82% respectively. The mortality rate of the ≥70 age group was higher than that of other groups. The disease burden indicators such as PAF, standardized mortality and DALY attributable to high temperature exposure in men were higher than those in women. In 2019, the main cause of DALY affected by high temperature exposure in Chinese population was ischemic heart disease (84400 person-years), and the main cause of death was ischemic heart disease (4900 cases). Conclusion: The burden of diseases attributable to high temperature exposure is still serious in China and the world at large. Targeted interventions should be formulated for men, the elderly and people with occupational exposure, and a sound surveillance system should be established to reduce the burden of diseases caused by high temperature exposure.

ABSTRACT

Objective@#To investigate the usage of medical and health care APP among female college students, and to understand possible influencing factors, so as to provide reference for medical health care behaviors and personal health among college students.@*Methods@#A stratified random sampling method was used to select 891 female college students from 3 colleges in Weifang. A questionnaire survey on their concentration on their own health, the knowledge, cognition and behavior of medical and health care APP, and Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors.@*Results@#There were 55.4% female college students who had used medical and health care APP, and most of them (290) had used fitness and weight loss APP. There was statistical significance of the different usages of students of different degrees, majors and grades(χ2=26.55, 7.72, 13.96, P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that educational background, annual medical costs, awareness of medical and health care APP and attitude towards APP prospect were the factors influencing the utilization of medical and health care APP (OR=0.44,0.69,1.36,1.23,P<0.05).@*Conclusion@#The usage rate of medical and health care APP is general, and sustained utilization rate is low, the APP should enrich menstrual period consumption and figure report, add video recommendation, interactive dating, and other functions, improve female students medical and health care APP cognition, female college students to change health care APP attitude.

ABSTRACT

Objective To develop a method for determination of catechins and alkaloids in brick-tea by high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) with diode array detection(DAD),and to explore optimum extraction conditions for catechins and alkaloids components in brick-tea.Methods Catechins and alkaloids were separated and detected by HPLC.Orthogonal experiment and paired t test was carried out to compare the effect of water and alcohol as extraction solvents and to obtain optimum extraction conditions for extracting catechins and alkaloids components in brick-tea.Results Six kinds of catechins of catechin, epicatechin, gallocatechin, epigallocatechin, epicatechin gallate, epigallocatechin gallate and two kinds of alkaloids of caffeine and theobromine were separated and detected simultaneously.Calibration curves between peak areas and concentration of each component in bricktea were linear within a suitable concentration range, and coefficients of determination (R2) were between 0.9990-0.9999; spiked recoveries were from 83.78% to 106.35%,and relative standard deviations(RSD) were between 0.50%-1.51%.The optimum extraction condition for catechins and alkaloids was 80% ethanol,solid-liquid ratio of 1:10,temperature 80 ℃ and extraction time 30 min. Conclusion Alcohol as extraction solvents with optimal combination on HPLC,six kinds of catechins and two kinds of alkaloids are separated accurately, qualitatively, rapidly and sensitively.

ABSTRACT

ObjectiveTo find out the quality of life of inhabitants living in endemic arsenism areas after drinking-water improvement and related influencing factors.MethodsCase group ( 118 people) of arsenicosis, and control group (237 people ) of nearby residents without arsenicosis in endemic arsenic areas after drinking-water improvement in Shanxi and Inner Mongolia and outside control group(116 people) not exposed to arsenic in nearby non-arsenic areas were selected to be interviewed using homogeneous validity and reliability of the World Health Organization quality of life(WHOQOL-BREF,Chinese Version) in 2010,and physical health, psychological, social relationships, environment scores and total score were calculated, respectively.Covariance analysis was used to find out the real difference in the three groups and multiple linear regression analysis was used to explore the influencing factors on quality of life. Results The scores of physical health, psychological, social relationships, environment and total score of case group were ( 12.14 ± 2.68),( 12.18 ± 2.22),( 14.81 ± 2.24),(11.33 ± 1.92),(69.27 ± 16.23) points, respectively, and those of internal control group were ( 13.39 ± 2.67),( 12.80 ± 1.88 ),( 15.16 ± 1.80),( 11.72 ± 1.62),(75.49 ± 14.50) points, respectively, those of control group were (13.91 ± 254),(13.67 ± 2.14),(15.07 ± 1.36),(12.64 ± 1.68),(78.41 ± 12.03) points, respectively.Them was significant difference in physical health, psychological, environment scores and total score among the three groups(F =7.57,10.74,13.44,10.77,all P < 0.05),of which case group was significantly lower than those of the inside and outside control group(all P <0.01 ),while in the control group the psychological and environment scores were lower than those of the external control group(all P < 0.01 ).Health,whether-or-not arsenicosis patient, annual per capita income, age and sex were influential factors of quality of life among inhabitants living in endemic arsenism areas after drinking-water improvement (all P < 0.05 ).Conclusions Quality of life among inhabitants living in endemic arsenism areas after drinking-water improvement is lower than residents of non-arsenic areas.
